INTRODUCTION

What is the primary source in your search for truth? Is it what you learned from your parents? Is it what you learned from your church? Is it what you learned at a theological school? Is it what you learned from your study of the Bible? Now, here is the second question: What is the boundary in your search for truth? If your boundary is any of the above, then Jesus, who wants to lead you to complete truth, must stop at your boundary. The Bible is the most accurate and complete source of reliable information which verifies the origin and nature of mankind. This book relies upon the Bible as a primary source for its contents.

It is hoped as you read this book, you will get a glimpse of the great person God designed you to be and the many things he wants you to know. If you read something in this book that seems far-fetched, take time to see if the Bible says the same thing or else doesn‘t specifically contradict what is said.  The idea that the writers of the Scriptures are more special than you is not supported by the Bible. The idea that the best informed people about God are those with academic credentials is a misnomer. The belief that the Bible is a perfect work done by imperfect people is only half true.

To find out who you really are and how much you are loved by God, read the whole book even though some of the ideas will smart. When you reach the boundary set by your religious teaching, you may become afraid to continue. Before you discount what you are reading, remember, Jesus is the Spirit of Truth who wants to lead you into complete truth. At this point you will stop at the boundary set by the religion you have embraced or you will, with faith in Jesus as your guide, continue your search for truth. Jesus said you can know truth and truth will set you free. The more truth you know the more freedom you will experience. Truth has no boundary so don’t permit one to be set for you.

This is not a perfect presentation of truth because the author can’t do perfection. With some statements you will agree and with some you will disagree. The goal is not agreeing or disagreeing but the finding of truth which the brain can translate into oneness with the living God. A statement with which you disagree may evoke thought that will open your understanding to more truth.

The trial and crucifixion, which takes center stage in Christian teachings, were the sealing of the peace treaty for the war that was won in the garden. These move the brain to emotion and well they should but, the trial and cross represent history. What was done in the garden represents “today”…“now”. On the cross was the sacrificial lamb; in the garden was the lion of the tribe of Judah. On the cross was the victim of death; in the garden was the advocate of life telling Satan, “I won’t die here.” What a great honor it is to be a member of the family of Jesus.
