The album is filled with pictures of love.

They are always here to remind

of wonderful memories and bring to light

experiences that are now left behind.          A longing comes as I look at each one

                                                                     where a joyous occasion occurred.

At times I can’t see the pictures I hold

because my eyes are teary and blurred.

There’s a sound at the door so I go

to see who is ringing the bell.

It may be a neighbor come to visit

or someone with something to sell.            I open the door and to my great surprise,

                                                                   there stand my children…all three.

What a wonderful thing! It thrills my heart!

My children have come to see me.

Now, there’s much more than the pictures.

The children in my pictures are here.

Together we look at the pictures of the past.

and I rejoice with my children so near!            I’m reminded of the pictures of Jesus

and the things he did in the past.

I’m moved by his deeds of compassion.

These are memories I will always hold fast.

The Garden is one of my pictures.

It moves me with gratitude each day.

I try to imagine how it must have been

that night he went there to pray.               “The old rugged cross” where he died for me,

there’s nothing in this world to compare.

The empty tomb became man’s symbol of life

because there’s no dead body lying there.

A knock on the door draws attention

from the pictures that I love to see.

I open the door and there stands Jesus

who has come to have supper with me.      We talk of the things in the pictures

and the wonderful life he restored.

                                                                    These are all cherished pictures

but no picture can give the joy of a visit from the Lord.

Listen! I am standing at the door and I am knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and sup (share the evening meal-supper) with him and he with me. Revelation 3:20
